Meet the Desueño Dance Teams
Desueño Latin Footwork
Our signature footwork team learns choreography with a strong emphasis on Salsa On2 and other Latin styles. We create community performances with a focus on sharing the joy of dance. (Performance Optional)
Desueño Afro-Latin Jazz
This troupe performs choreography inspired by Afro and Latin rhythms, fused with modern and jazz movements. We’re looking for dancers who have training in African, Contemporary, Modern, or Jazz styles.
2025 Fall Performance Team
The Fall performance team is a 12-week adventure in learning choreography. You will also have an opportunity to perform at our dance social on December 14, 2025.
Rehearsals are held on Saturdays starting September 13th in the Avondale neighborhood of Chicago
Desueño Events Team
This troupe is composed of professional dancers who perform choreography and social dance in a wide variety of styles for private and corporate events.
Desueño Vision
Desueño Vision is our voice of creativity and exploration. We create Afro-Latin jazz pieces that center the dances of the diaspora with a modern fusion. Members of Desueño Vision first performed in 2015.
